Rutile-coated stick electrode for welding ferrite-austenite joints ("dissimilar metal welds") and stainless steel claddings. The weld metal consists of austenite with approx. 15% delta ferrite. Surfacing on non-alloyed/low-alloyed steel is corrosion-resistant from the first layer. Good striking and re-striking properties. Fine-droplet metal transfer, good wetting of weld flanks, easily removable slag, finely rippled weld bead surface. Maximum operating temperature for dissimilar metal joints is 300 °C; for higher temperatures, the SUPRANEL 600 electrode should be used.
