Covered Electrodes Oerlikon Overcord
Oerlikon Overcord covered electrodes for unalloyed and low-alloy steels
- Smooth, slightly concave seams (vertical down welding)
- Good gap bridging ability
- For tacking
- For vertical down welds
- Slag is partially self-releasing
- Notch-free transition to the base material
Multi-purpose rutile-cellulose coated Oerlikon Overcord covered electrodes for repair, assembly, and workshop welding. Assembly work can be carried out in all positions with a constant current. Suitable for operating temperatures from 0 °C to 450 °C. Smooth, stable arc. Weldable with DC and AC. Easy to handle, even for inexperienced welders. Coarse-droplet material transfer.
Easy ignition and re-ignition. Relatively insensitive to contamination in the weld area.
The covered electrodes can also be used with 220V mains transformers and are weldable at 42V protective extra-low voltage. For a softer arc, Oerlikon Overcord Z is recommended.
General: Due to the strong arc, also suitable for galvanized steels to a limited extent
