Important application areas for MTC MT-600 T stick electrodes:
Welding tough, abrasion-resistant hardfacings on machine parts made of structural steel, cast steel or manganese hard steel, e.g. rollers, treads, crawler tracks, impellers, pan mills, excavator parts, screw conveyors, roller crushers, impact hammers, rolling mill guides, cams, clamping jaws, impact plates, mixer arms, anvils.
Hardness of the weld metal (approximate values)
Heat treatment Test temperature [°C] untreated +20°C Vickers hardness HV 650 Rockwell hardness HRC 58
Special notes:
Untreated weld metal from MT-600 T stick electrodes can only be machined by grinding. In multi-pass welding, welding can be carried out through the slag. Pre-heat higher carbon or crack-sensitive base materials to +200°C to +300°C. For very crack-sensitive base materials, weld an intermediate layer (buffer layer), e.g. MT-307 HL. The weld metal is forgeable and hardenable.
Welding positions according to DIN EN ISO 6947:
