Böhler Phoenix CEL 70 Stick Electrodes
Böhler Phoenix CEL 70 stick electrodes for low and medium alloy steels
- Good gap bridging ability
- For tack welding
- For vertical-down welding
- Excellent ignition properties
- Slag mostly self-detaching
- For root pass welding
- CTOD, HIC, and HSCC tested
Böhler Phoenix CEL 70 stick electrodes can be used in many areas for repair, assembly, and workshop welding. Assembly work can be carried out in all positions with constant current. Particularly suitable for vertical-down welding of circumferential pipe seams (pipelines) and for root pass welding. Also suitable for vertical-up welding. Fine-scaled weld metal transfer. Also well-suited for beginners due to ease of handling.
Shows high cost-effectiveness compared to vertical-up welding, also in combination with basic vertical-down electrodes.
Easy ignition and re-ignition. Relatively insensitive to contamination in the weld seam area. Stable arc and good X-ray integrity.
Böhler Phoenix CEL 70 stick electrodes can also be used with small transformers and can be welded at 42V safety voltage.
