Description:

The Böhler FOX EAS 2-A is an austenitic stick electrode with a core and a rutile coating. This electrode, corresponding to type E 19 9 L R / E308L-17, is used in various industrial sectors where welding of similar steels, including higher-alloyed variants, as well as ferritic 13% chromium steels, is required. The outstanding features of this electrode include particularly beautiful welding results, excellent weldability with alternating current, and high resistance to hot cracking in the weld metal.

This electrode offers significant economic advantages due to its excellent suitability for welding in various positions and the self-lifting slag, which leaves no residue. The maximum operating temperature is 350ºC.

Notes:

Recommended heat input max. 2.0 kJ/mm, interpass temperature max. 150ºC. Re-drying: if necessary 250 – 300ºC, min. 2 hrs.
