Description: 

Core wire alloyed, rutile-coated electrode of the type E 20 10 3 R / E308Mo-17 (mod.), enriched with basic components, especially suitable for ferrite-austenite connections as well as for interlayers in weld claddings.

The BÖHLER FOX CN 19/9 M has a lower chromium and ferrite content compared to E309LMo. This reduces carbon diffusion and minimizes the formation of chromium carbides after heat treatment. This leads to a lower ferrite content in the second layer of a 316L cladding.

The material can be used in a temperature range of –80 °C to +300 °C and can be processed very well in all welding positions – with the exception of the vertical-down seam. The electrode convinces with smooth welding behavior, clean seams and excellent AC compatibility.

Base materials for Böhler FOX CN 19/9 M

Mixed connections between structural, fine-grain structural and quenched & tempered steels with high-alloy Cr and CrNi(Mo) steels; austenitic
Manganese hard steels with each other and with other steels. 

Notes:

Preheating and interpass temperature must be adapted to the base material.
Re-drying at 250 to 300ºC for min. 2 hours.
