Description:

BÖHLER FOX C 9 MV is a basic coated electrode. The weld metal consists of 9Cr-1Mo-VNb and has a martensitic microstructure, making it particularly suitable for applications in the tempered state.

Areas of Application:

This electrode is primarily used for welding heat-resistant steels and cast steels used in turbines, power plants, and the chemical industry. It is designed for long-term use at temperatures up to 650 °C.

Technical Features:

• Low content of accompanying and trace elements: The Bruscato factor is below 15, ensuring high material quality.
• Limited content of manganese and nickel: Less than 1.2 wt.%, meaning the Ac1 temperature is above 780 °C.
• Coating type: Ensures a low diffusible hydrogen content in the weld metal, minimizing the risk of cracking.
