WEARmig Dur 450 Solid Wire for Wear-Resistant Hardfacing
The WEARmig Dur 450 is an alloyed solid wire for MAG hardfacing of components exposed to high stress from pressure, impact, and abrasion. The weld metal achieves a hardness of approximately 450 HB in its as-welded state, making it particularly suitable for the repair, regeneration, and preventive wear-protection hardfacing of highly stressed machine components.
Typical applications include track components of crawler vehicles, machine and gear parts, and punches. The deposited weld metal can be post-processed by grinding. Furthermore, both soft annealing and subsequent hardening are possible, allowing the mechanical properties to be precisely adjusted to the respective application.

Processing Notes
The welding area must be prepared to be metallically bright before processing. Solid components and higher carbon steels should be preheated to approximately 300 °C to reduce stresses and crack formation.
| Wire Diameter | Current Type and Polarity | Shielding Gas according to EN ISO 14175 |
|---|---|---|
| 1.2 mm | DC, positive pole | M12, M13 or M21 |
The specific welding parameters must be adjusted to the component geometry, base material, deposition thickness, and welding position.
