Oerlikon Carbofil 1A welding wire for general applications in multi-pass welding. For GMAW welding. Particularly well-suited for sheet metal applications. Low-spatter metal transfer in short and spray arcs. Notch impact toughness down to -40 °C. Good wetting of the weld flank. Fine-droplet metal transfer.

Easy arc striking and restriking.

Maximum sheet thickness 16 mm; for fillet welds, maximum sheet thickness 30 mm, maximum throat thickness 10 mm.

General: Suitable for unalloyed and low-alloy steels or cast steel up to 460 N/mm² yield strength. Can be used with CO2 and Ar/CO2 or Ar/CO2/O2 shielding gas.
