ESAB OK Autrod 12.64 – copper-coated GMAW welding wire for structural steel
The ESAB OK Autrod 12.64 is a universally applicable, copper-coated solid wire electrode for GMAW (MIG/MAG) welding of unalloyed and low-alloy steels. The wire is ideal for joining applications on general structural steels, pipe steels, fine-grained structural steels, and in shipbuilding. Thanks to its reliable welding characteristics and very good mechanical properties, it is suitable for both manual applications and mechanized use at welding stations and with robots.
The 4Si1 alloy ensures stable welding behavior, good wetting, and high weld quality. Using mixed gas, the OK Autrod 12.64 achieves excellent toughness values down to -50 °C, making it suitable for more demanding constructions with increased impact toughness requirements.
