Böhler Thermanit GE-316L Si Type 316LSi / 19 12 3 L Si welding wire is ideally suited for joining and surfacing similar and related austenitic CrNi(N) and CrNiMo(N) steels, especially non-stabilized variants. In terms of corrosion resistance, this wire shows comparable properties to low-carbon and stabilized 17Cr-12Ni-2Mo steels. Furthermore, the wire is characterized by excellent weld metal toughness down to extremely low temperatures of -196ºC and at the same time offers good wetting and feeding properties. The maximum operating temperature is 400ºC.
