WEARmig Dur 600 Solid Wire – MAG Hardfacing Wire for Wear-Resistant Armor Plating

WEARmig Dur 600 is a highly wear-resistant solid wire for MAG hardfacing of components exposed to high impact stress and medium abrasion. The wire is ideal for repair, maintenance, and wear protection in demanding industrial applications.

Typical applications include systems and components in quarries, rock processing, mining, steelworks, cement plants, as well as cutting and forming tools in the automotive industry. The deposited weld metal achieves high hardness while remaining tough, crack-resistant, and maintaining its cutting edge. Machining is possible by grinding.

• Material No.: 1.4718

• Hardness untreated: approx. 54–60 HRC

• Hardness first layer on unalloyed steel: approx. 53 HRC

• Soft annealed at 800 °C: approx. 250 HB

• Hardened at 1000 °C / Oil: approx. 62 HRC

• Machining: possible by grinding

• Current type: DC, positive pole

• Suitable shielding gases according to EN ISO 14175: M12, M13, M21, C1

Application Notes

The weld area should be ground bright metal before hardfacing. Preheating is generally only required for tool steels, where preheating to approx. 450 °C is indicated.
