The silver brazing solder AG156 L-Ag55Sn is particularly suitable for brazing steel, malleable cast iron, copper and copper alloys, nickel and nickel alloys, and can also be used to make connections on stainless steel.
AG 156 (AG 102) L-Ag55Sn is used particularly in medical and food technology due to its high chemical purity.
It can also be used to solder pipelines pipelines carrying technical gases such as hydrogen, nitrogen, CO2 or oxygen, as well as noble gases such as argon or helium.
Metal vapors generated during the soldering process are not harmful to health.
Tips for working with silver brazing solder AG 156 (AG 102) L-Ag55Sn
- Clean the solder joint of oxide layers, scale, slag, oils and greases
- Bare solder: Apply sufficient flux to the solder joint and surrounding area; we recommend FELDER flux for silver solders "CuFe P" or "CuFe No.1".
- Heat the workpiece to a working temperature of 650°C and melt the solder
