Stainless steel pickling paste - transparent - for removing scale and heat tint in the area of weld seams and heat-affected zones, especially for shiny surfaces. Also suitable for aluminum substrates.

General information:

From a corrosion-technical perspective, pickling is the best method for removing heat tint, scale, foreign metals, and other metallic impurities.

The corrosion resistance of stainless steels is guaranteed by a thin, very dense film of oxides of the alloying elements - the passive layer.

Disruption of this protective film by surface rust, scale, heat tint, or mechanical processing of the stainless steel surface can cause localized corrosion.

A prerequisite for the optimal formation of the protective passive layer is a metallically clean and as smooth as possible surface of the stainless steel.

Antox® stainless steel pickling products improve the resistance of stainless steels by:

• Simple removal of impurities.
• Achieving a metallically clean surface.
• Supporting the regeneration of a protective passive layer.

All Antox® stainless steel pickling products are free of hydrochloric acid and chlorides. In addition, Antox Profiline products are free of nitric acid or contain a correspondingly reduced content.
