Lincoln Electric Innershield® NR®-211-MP – Self-Shielded Flux-Cored Wire for Mild Steel

The Lincoln Electric Innershield® NR®-211-MP is a self-shielded flux-cored electrode for welding mild steels. Since the wire is processed without additional shielding gas, it is particularly suitable for assembly work, outdoor areas, and applications where easy handling and robust welding properties are required.

The wire impresses with its high user-friendliness, good weld bead appearance, and good slag removability. Thanks to its fast-freezing slag, the Innershield® NR®-211-MP is also tolerant of imprecise joint preparation and versatile for use on various base materials.

Typical Areas of Application

The Innershield® NR®-211-MP is particularly suitable for:

• thin sheets and light metal construction

• galvanized sheets

• general manufacturing work

• robotics and automation

• applications without separate shielding gas

For smaller wire diameters up to approx. 1.2 mm, a maximum sheet thickness of approx. 8 mm is specified. For larger diameters from approx. 1.8 mm to 2.4 mm, applications up to approx. 12.7 mm sheet thickness are possible.

Typical Mechanical Properties

In the as-welded condition, the pure weld metal achieves typical values of:

Due to processing without shielding gas, it is particularly flexible to use and offers good user-friendliness, clean weld appearance, and good slag removability.
