It was specially developed for Ti- and Nb-stabilized CrNi steels such as 1.4541 / 321 and 1.4546 / 347. This electrode is characterized by particularly good welding properties with both direct current and alternating current. It offers high hot cracking resistance of the weld metal and produces clean seams. The slag is self-releasing, which minimizes post-processing. The corrosion resistance corresponds to that of 316Ti alloys, and the electrode shows good resistance to pitting corrosion. The maximum operating temperature is 400ºC.

Base materials for Böhler FOX SAS 2-A

1.4301 X5CrNi18-10, 1.4306 X2CrNi19-11, 1.4311 X2CrNiN18-9, 1.4312 GX10CrNi18-8, 1.4541 X6CrNiTi18-10, 1.4546 X5CrNiNb18-10, 1.4550 X6CrNiNb18-10, 1.4552 GX5CrNiNb19-11 UNS S30400, S30403, S30453, S32100, S34700 AISI 347, 321,302, 304, 304L, 304LN

Notes:

It is recommended to limit the heat input to a maximum of 1.5 kJ/mm, and the interpass temperature should not exceed 150ºC. As a rule, no heat treatment is required. However, the BÖHLER FOX SAS 2-A can be used for claddings where stress relieving at around 590ºC is normally necessary. Such heat treatment can reduce ductility at room temperature. In these cases, the BÖHLER FOX E 347 H can be an alternative. If necessary, re-drying can be carried out at 250-300ºC for at least 2 hours.

Approvals:

TÜV (01105), DB (30.014.06), ABS, DNV, CWB certifi ed CSA W48-18: E347-17, CE

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0538/6295/7252/products/voestalpine-bohler-welding-stabelektroden-stabelektroden-bohler-phoenix-cel-70-29923283599556_ae51c1ef-7ce8-4cfd-997e-05250b70ed96.png?v=1666626696
